Spraying Process

Electrostatic spraying is superior to the spray paint process in terms of mechanical strength, adhesion, corrosion resistance, and aging resistance. The plastic particles will melt into a dense protective layer and firmly adhere to the surface of the workpiece. The most important thing for electrostatic spraying is the spraying process:

1. Pre-treatment for spraying

Remove the oil, dust and rust on the surface of the workpiece, and generate a layer of corrosion resistance and can increase the adhesion of the spray coating on the surface of the workpiece. This process makes the workpiece not only free of oil, rust, and dust on the surface, but also a uniform and rough gray phosphate film that is not easy to rust is formed on the original silver-white shiny surface, which can prevent rust and increase plastic spraying. Adhesion of the layer.

       2. Electrostatic spraying treatment

Using the principle of electrostatic adsorption, a layer of powder coating is evenly sprayed on the surface of the workpiece; the fallen powder is recovered through the recycling system and can be reused after being sieved. In this process, one or more electrostatic spraying machines are needed, as well as a spray booth with powder recovery function and plastic powder.

3. High temperature curing treatment

Push the sprayed workpiece into the curing furnace, heat it to a predetermined temperature (generally 185°C), keep it warm for the corresponding time (15 minutes); open the furnace, take it out, and cool it to get the finished product. The heating method of the curing furnace mainly includes electric heating, oil heating or gas heating.

       4. Decoration treatment

The treatment process used to achieve a certain appearance effect of the electrostatic sprayed workpiece can be achieved by selecting different plastic powders. Such as: various wood grains, patterns, brightness, etc.

Compared with the traditional painting process, the electrostatic spraying process has significant advantages. It does not require thinner materials. Moreover, the construction has no pollution to the environment, the spraying construction has a short curing time, the coating has higher corrosion resistance and abrasion resistance, and the technical requirements for workers are low. Today, it is more common in various industries.
