HN-919 Friction Electrostatic Plastic Coating Gun

Overview

With its superiority recognized and praised by more and more users, friction electrostatic plastic coating has been particularly favored. With the investment in domestic production and development, friction plastic coating has also been more widely promoted.

Advantages of Friction Plastic Coating Guns

• Can realize a comprehensive and automatic plastic coating, which saves the labor force

• Higher surface quality than high voltage plastic coating

• Higher surface coating uniformity

• Overcomes Faraday’s cage effect and particularly effective for plastic coating complex workpieces

• Higher efficiency for the first-time plastic coating (up to 90%) to makes it possible to plastic coat without recovery, thus reducing the investment cost of equipment

Smoother Surface Quality Can Be Obtained from Friction Plastic Coating

Usually, the surface treated with friction plastic coating is smoother and cleaner than that of high-pressure electrostatic plastic coating. And there is no common “orange peel effect” when high-pressure plastic coating is used. This is partly due to the fact that after the friction plastic passes through the friction gun, the size of the plastic is relatively uniform (see the previous section). The most important reason is that the friction coating plastic will not produce electrostatic repulsion due to accumulation on the workpiece, thus overcoming the resulting “orange peel effect”. The “orange peel effect” caused by electrostatic repulsion of plastic usually occurs when:

  • Excessive plastic. When too thick plastic particles are piled on the surface of the workpiece, the outer particles cannot be sufficiently grounded, resulting in mutual repulsion. And it will repulse the plastic particles that continue to be coated to the workpiece, thus affecting the plastic coating efficiency and surface quality. On the surface of the workpiece, there may be uneven and even foaming surface.
  • Excessive plastic may also cause a small gap between the coating and the surface of the workpiece, resulting in an “orange peel” phenomenon.
  • Too high high-voltage electrostatic voltage. “Orange peel ” phenomenon can also be caused when the high voltage electrostatic voltage applied to the plastic is too high. This phenomenon can be avoided when friction plastic coating guns are used.
  • Imperfect leveling and coating process. Due to the uneven temperature distribution in the plastic coating oven, the temperature rise of the workpiece is not complete.
